Starring Basil Rathbone as Sherlock Holmes.
A convicted thief in Dartmoor prison hides the stolen bank of England printing plates in three different musical boxes. These boxes go to auction and end up being separated, having three different owners. When a friend pays a visit to Holmes informing him that the previous night his flat had been broken into, however, all the thieves took was a musical box he had just purchased for a very cheap price. Holmes looks into the history of the box and realizes there were two others also made so he sets out to track them down.
